TIDAS tools: check, convert, and package data
Learn what the tidas command-line tool can and cannot do, and where to install it.
tidas is a command-line program that runs in a computer terminal. It can check fields and links in TIDAS files, convert between TIDAS and eILCD where supported, and help import, export, and prepare data packages for delivery.
The tool checks file structure and implemented rules. It does not choose a functional unit, system boundary, or allocation method for you, judge whether data quality is sufficient, or replace an independent critical review. Get the current version and installer from the latest tidas-toolkit release, then run tidas --help to see the available starting points.
Advanced: record the tool version
If your team needs to reproduce a check or conversion later, run:
tidas version --format jsonThis command lists the tool and accompanying rule versions in a format that is easy to save. Keep the output with the check report or conversion result so others can see which version was used. You do not need this technical detail for ordinary browsing or a first trial.
